Experience in the Blog

Hi! Today is the last post and is time of to evaluate this experience.
I think that the blog was a good experience for learn more English, more vocabulary and the quickly of the creation of sentences. Besides never I have had a blog or web page of this type where one can write about a theme.
The blog was a task maybe easier than the listening (in special for me), and for that is a possibility for to obtain better marks, I suppose. I think that to write in the blog was important and a benefice for my English, I think that I can learn more but I should say that I feel a few of frustration with the learning. This semester has been definitely more difficult.
Sometimes posts were more boring than others for example the post about the favourite object technologic. The posts more interesting were the post about the one place that one has visited and the post about you favourite photo. In this post I can speak at length easier and was fun to tell about me.
The disadvantages of the blog can be that the blog take time and sometimes we don’t achieve to write all post or we don’t achieve to post to the classmates or maybe some classmates dislike the blog and there isn`t interest. This is not my case, I want learn English but how already I said this semester has been more difficult.
I believe the blog was enjoyable. It is a new something to have blog and that already is a motivation. Besides to decorate your own blog and to show photos are interesting. The most important is the writing and also the lecture of the post of the classmates.

THE BLoG OF a CLaSsmaTe

Today I am going to evaluate the Amanda’s Blog.
Well, I first I can say is the name of the blog: “I don’t know” I ask why? Maybe it is by the difficult for to learn English. It is a possibility.
She has eight post of ten. I think that lack motivation. I know the English have resulted difficult in special the listening, but the blog is a form for improve the language and “to save the marks”.
I like the post of the person that we admired, she chose to Charles Chaplin. I think that she put more enthusiasm in to writing this post, the images and the title made the difference. Besides we can note in the lecture and in the extension. Aside from the theme, it is interesting of writing. In the other topics there is few motivation, besides I think the texts aren`t completes.
I noted some problems of the grammar, the creation of the sentences or vocabulary. I saw problems with the sentences in past but I am not the person appropriate for to evaluate this part, I have mistakes too.
I don’t think that it is necessary put images in every post but I think is a form to show an interest in the blog. Although the texts are the most important, the images are important too. In my case, I think the image do the blog more presentable, but it is just an aesthetic thing.
The blog is good but obviously can be better.

C H I CHI L E LE

Hello!

Wow…Think in our country is to see a big and large strip of earth, from north until the south there are many different cultures, beliefs and traditions. Chile is a country very diverse, but that is not a reason for to be a country separated, on the contrary I think that Chile is close and also nationalist. There are many instances in the Chilean people can demonstrate your patriotic spirit. There are fundamental events as LA TELETÓN or now with The World Coup and the spirit or Chilean sold is more lighted than ever. All the people celebrated, include me, the game with Honduras. We won.
The spirit nationalist follow with life, sometimes the people think the culture already isn’t the most important or simply we forgot it. I think that is a mistake, is true the native people are less and a new music, for example, has come but the food and the celebrations follow equal.
I like be a Chilean I can’t leave the “Sopaipillas”, and not in a day so rainy how today, the traditional dances as “la cueca” or “saya” and “tinku”, dances of the North, I prefer this last.
The Chilean is patriotic, supportive and is comic but there is at least one Chilean in every country of the world. Did you have thought in that?
In advertising on TV about the earthquake I heard a phrase, I don`t remember it very well but said: “When one part of the Chile fell, the other part lifted it”. I think the solidarity is the most important of the Chilean people.

Hi everybody!
I have many favourites photographs of the remembers along all my life. Today want to say about this picture when I had five o six years. It was summer, days before the Christmas and New Year. My cousins and I, we had by first time a swimming pool. How you can see we enjoyed a lot. I don’t remember who took it, maybe my mum or some of my aunts.
The pictures of my infancy are all that, this is me and my cousins doing anything in anywhere.
The swimming pool lasted some years. There we played many games as “The TITANIC”. It was very funny. Later we had a swimming pool bigger, but we always remember this.
I like this picture, we were so happy, so little and we didn`t think in problems. We were just children. The girl of the center is my sister called “eFe”, to the side her I am littler. To my side is Manuel and the other side is Cotè and the other girl is Lidia. In the photo we were in the garden of my house, the house of my grandparents. How some of you know in Rosario. The garden is big and in that time the garden was greener that today and all the trees had fruits. Now the garden is some different and we too. We are not five or eight as it was in that time, now we are ten. My cousin David and my sister Catalina were born after. The family has not children. I think that hope our kids. But for that we need wait a bit more of time.
That is the story.

EDUCATION

Hi!
Today we visited the TED website and there we saw a presentation of Ken Robinson. I don’t remember very well but I had heard him.
I believe the ideas that Ken Robinson exposed is very interesting and I think that is totally truth.
He is a man very didactic and funny for exposed his thought. It is the main reason for the people follow him.
One of the things that He said was the young people start the studies now and finish in 2065. It is some comic but have some of real. Today a degree isn’t enough. We need a Master or a PhD for can get a job. I think that is a matter of the universities or of the government, I don’t know but is for win money and money.
Other thing very interesting is that today the schools have preoccupation just for the mathematics and language and the Art WHAT? The society and the institutions don’t teach music, art, and dance. The society don’t accept this how a career or the support of the life.
Ken Robinson believes that the schools kill the creativity. It is hard say it but is happening. He tell a story about a little girl that was drawing a god and the teacher said that nobody know how looks god. The girls answer her that will wait a minute. I like this example because shows the naivety, the ability and the most important the creativity that the teacher almost or not destroyed.
The art will not be to the end. The art should be in same conditions of the others courses.

TECHNOLOGY

Hi!!

I should say that the technology isn’t really my friend. I have a mobile phone and I believe that I understand just my mobile phone. The people would say that my phone is old.
I have a notebook too and these two objects is the only proximity with the technology. I think that is the basic.

Now, I think in my favourite piece of technology and can be the machine of hair remove. It is some funny say it but I think that is very useful. Maybe today the machine isn’t very technology because exist the laser depilation.

So… Women!!:

The machine has antecedents in 1903 with the machine of shave by King Gillete. Later the women used the depilatory wax. The electric machines appear after of 1950.
There are a great quantity of models and brands.
The best I wouldn’t know say but I have a Braun silk-epil. This machine is easy to use and is portable.
For women is an essential element. Besides there are other forms and other process maybe more technologic that this machine.

There are many machines and the technology grows and grows. Appear new objects that the people want have. Today the world is technologic, connected. The word INTERNET say it all.

Meanwhile I will follow with my machine and my mobile phone until it dead.

San Pedro

HI!
Today I will tell about a trip that I did 2 years ago. The summer 2008 I worked in a Packing, in Choapinos, a town next to Rosario, where I Live. I worked with many apples. UF! Besides with mi sister went to trade fair to sell clothes. So I save up enough money for travel to Antofagasta In February of that year. I went in the Carmelita’s Bus, I remember that I was the only woman there… I was surrounded by miners. It was very funny trip. My friend Natalia waited me in the terminal Bus.
There we decided go to San Pedro de Atacama. We invited two friends more. We camped.
I love the desert, should be because I have north blood.
There we saw craftwork, we went to Museum, and we did a tour by the Atacama salt and went for a swim there. The fantastic was that we floated because the salt is many in the water. Also we went with boys that we knew to a celebration of the native people. In the celebration they presented poems and songs and spoke a man and he said that the foreigners weren’t welcome. Later it come the dance. The persons danced SAYA and others dance. I like that kind of music I feel very good.
That trip was the best. So San Pedro wait for me again!!

A website interesting is www.mac.uchile.cl The website of the Contemporary Art Museum. First because is part of our university and second because the web have many information very useful.
Recently I take the time for check the website. In the class “Catalogue Collection” we should do a catalogue about some paintings, in special the portraits. Then we should check the web. There is a new section called “Preservation and Documentation” there you can find a line of the time since the foundation of the museum until 1962. All information has not been included. In the line of time is all the exposition that the museum has done. You can click every link of the exposition and download in PDF the catalogue just if is available. We can have access to valuable information and that be useful for our own investigation work.
Now in the museum there is an exposition about the Chilean painter Ximena Cristi. There are many paintings that belong to the Contemporary Art Museum or are property of the artist or the other universities.
Mi invitation is that you check the web and of that form we learn more principally about the Chileans painters, famous painters that studied in this Faculty.
I think that I will inform more about this web.

Favourite artist

Hi!

It is difficult to speak of my favourite artist because I love the art and are many the artists that I like. But I really like the realist or naturalist painters. If I think in Chile I can name to Pedro Lira or Alfredo Valenzuela Puelma.
The portraits of Pedro Lira are very pretty, I believe that I he is an excellent draftsman of the human figure. His painting more representative is “La carta”. The most exciting of the picture isn’t the style, aren’t the colours that the painter can have used or the way in that He used the paintbrush, thinking in a specific technique. No, I want to say that the most exciting is the scene that the painter represent. A woman hides a letter in her back because someone comes to room. I can imagine a story of prohibited love or something like that.
Pedro Lira and Alfredo Valenzuela Puelma are Chilean painters of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century.
Some paintings of these painters are in the National Museum of fine arts, “La carta” is there.

I like the European artists but in this occasion I prefer “lo chileno”.

visiting the web

Hi!
Today I visited the web http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/learningenglish and a try of practice some of English, but I found some complicated. Listen English is the most difficult for me, for that the web is good, bit a bit I can learn.

I practice with the quizzes about pronunciation but I got 3 points good of 10. It is bad.
Besides practice in “Wordmaster” and there I got better points. That I like, is a game very funny, is a form interesting for to learn. I understood that I should learn a lot of vocabulary and the sounds and pronunciation of the word. I think that I will visit this web more often.

I hope that you have enjoyed playing in the puzzles, “wordmaster” and making quizzes.
The web page has all. Is very complete. It has news, radio and weather. Besides, obviously, the exercises of English, very educational. There are series as “Flatmates”, it looks very funny. Me in particular I didn’t see. You do?

Do you remember the earthquake of February 27 th?
I think that was horrible.
I was in a Pub called “Camello Loco” in Rengo, city next to Rosario, my home town. I was with my friends and when the earth started to move. I felt very fear. I screamed and a friend mine took me and we left out of the place. I remember the movement never finished. It was so eternal.
I think that my house was in the floor because my house is of mud. But thanks to God nothing happened. I could arrive to my home at 7.30 am and I could see to my family.
My father, my mother, my sister and the dog were fine. My mother was scared. I got it of her, I think.
There are many people without home. That is very sad. I think the children and old people, they suffer more. The help arrived, but isn’t enough. The south of the country was destroyed. I helped with money and clothes. I little help of part mine.
I hope that your experience haven’t been bad.

I am Constanza but you can call me "Rosarito" is a new nickname that I Like. I think that is funny.
Well, This semester I hope give good marks in the university. I will make the effort.
I study Theory and History of the Art how you.
I don`t want that the time spend quickly, for that I will enjoy it. Spend good moments is some like that a new way of live. Read, listen to music, sing, laugh, cook, dance and learn y give the knowledge that I need and I want.
